sweetart is a patisserie and bistro bar establishment that aims to reinvent conventional perceptions of the types of dishes that incorporate berries as an ingredient. Identified as a superfood, berries have long been a key ingredient in desserts, however, this establishment aims to break the conventional perceptions of berries as only a dessert ingredient. The introduction of the bisto bar aims to showcase the versatility and depth in this single ingredient to be incorporated into a variety of culinary dishes. sweetart aims to reinvent the defining characteristics of each typology (patisserie & bistro bar) and rediscover how these two can establish spatial relationships yet showcase their contrast.
The essence of berries as fruits that come in a cluster was translated into the design through the clustering of similar programs. This clustering of curves serves as directional elements within the space that created fluid circulation and seamless transitions between spaces.
